We typically only have one dog at a time in our foster homes and it happens very sporadically throughout the year. We post any available dogs in our Adoptable Dogs album on Facebook. If the album is empty, we do not have any dogs available for adoption at that time. Follow the link below to find out which dogs we have available for adoption!
The link to our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this page.
At Abby & Co., we believe that there is a perfect home for every dog and we take great care to ensure that each of our dogs ends up in a home that they will thrive in. We take time to get feedback from each of our foster homes on their foster dogs and carefully review each adoption application we receive to help us select the ideal home for each of our dogs. We believe that owning and caring for a dog is an important responsibility and that our dogs become members of our family. We don't place importance on simply getting a dog out of our doors with adopters as quickly as we can, but rather on matching dogs and families that compliment each other.
General Adoption Fee: our adoption fee is $250 for all of our adoptable dogs. This fee helps cover the expenses that it takes to care for all of our dogs. This includes spaying/neutering, general vet care, food, and other supplies that are essentials to our rescue operation.
Adoption Fee for INTACT Dogs: dogs that have not yet been spayed or neutered (usually puppies that are not old enough to be spayed or neutered) have a $250 adoption fee plus a $100 Spay/Neuter Deposit that will be refunded once we receive confirmation that your new pet has been sterilized. The adoption fee can be paid with cash, check, or with credit/debit card through PayPal. The Spay/Neuter Deposit must be paid with credit/debit card through PayPal so we can get your refund processed and back in your account as quickly as possible!
See a dog on our Facebook or Instagram that you think may be a perfect fit for your family? It's time to complete our adoption application! Fill this out as accurately and truthfully as you can- it helps us in matching you with your new family member!
It is a good idea for you to bring everyone who will be living in the home with you so that you get an idea of how the dynamic may work (this includes other dogs). We suggest this because they have not had the opportunity to be around your family members yet and we want to make sure everyone gets along.
Once you have decided you are ready to take this big step into dog parenthood and are ready with supplies (crate, bowls, leashes, food, etc.) then you are ready to take your new friend home!
We love to know how our Abby & Co. friends are doing so feel free to reach out with pictures and stories- we will share them to our social media as well! We will also try to email you along the way to see how you are doing!
